Civic Achievement Award Recipient Bio
Scott Turow is a writer and partner with the law firm of Sonnenschein, Nath & Rosenthal. He is the author of seven best-selling novels, including Presumed Innocent. His books have won a number of literary awards and have been translated into more than 25 languages. Turow frequently contributes essays and op-ed pieces to publications such as The New York Times, Washington Post, Vanity Fair, The New Yorker, Playboy and The Atlantic. As a lawyer, Turow concentrates on white collar criminal defense, while also devoting a substantial amount of time to pro bono matters. He has been appointed to a number of public bodies and currently serves on the Illinois' Executive Ethics Commission.
